Due to the winter weather advisory for Friday, January 19, we have two updates for those interested in taking a free desk:
* Please wait until at least 12:00 p.m. to come to the school. This should allow our crews time to clear the roads to make it safe for everyone to travel through.
* The desks will be set out on the loading dock, not the surrounding area as initially planned, so that they will be covered and out of the elements.
As of this writing, there is no change to the pick-up schedules for Saturday and Sunday. We will communicate any additional changes if needed.

South Park Elementary Center will be giving away free school desks and chairs to the community from January 19 through January 21.
This opportunity comes while our “Building Futures” renovation project continues taking shape at the school. As our classrooms are being outfitted with new desks and chairs, we wanted to extend this opportunity to the community to add a piece of South Park history to their home classroom, office or even an activity area for our younger learners who enjoy playing school.
The desks will be available on a first come, first served basis and there is no limit to the amount of desks you get, so long as you can safely transport them from the school to your destination.

Time: 12-6 p.m. Friday & 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Location: Desks will be set on loading dock (to the left of the main office, around the side of the building -- do not enter the school or the construction area)
