We’re gearing up to welcome a new class of Eagles to South Park Elementary Center in August 2026! Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year opens on Monday, January 5, 2026. Please carefully review all of this information before proceeding to the online registration portal (link at bottom of the page). Questions about the online enrollment process can be directed to (412) 655-3111, extension 1002. All other questions about the Kindergarten registration process, including the necessary forms and paperwork, can be directed to the South Park Elementary Center office by calling (412) 655-3111, option 3.
In order for your child to be eligible for Kindergarten, the student must reach the age of five (5) before September 1, 2026.
Before proceeding, please download and print the following forms. If you are unable to print these forms, they can be obtained at the South Park School District administrative office between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Forms marked with an asterisk should be completed and uploaded as part of the online registration. This will expedite your child's registration.

Private Dentist Report of Dental Examination
*Affidavit of Residency which will need to be notarized before submitting it. (If you have other children in the district, please write their names at the top right-hand corner of the affidavit and you will not have to get it notarized as long as we have one on file for your other children)
Please note, the district also requires a copy of your child’s birth certificate and two (2) proofs of residency (ex. driver’s license, utility bill, rental agreement). Please provide these to the elementary center office at your child’s Kindergarten Screening Day appointment (info below).
Students are also required to have the proper immunizations as set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Allegheny County Health Department. These immunizations are required prior to your child entering school. When registering your child you must provide a copy of your child's immunizations. No student's registration can be completed without documentation of the proper immunizations.
The following immunizations are required for entering kindergarten:
4 doses of DTP (1 dose must be on or after 4th birthday)
4 doses of Polio (1 dose must be on or after 4th birthday)
2 doses MMR (1st dose must be on or after 1st birthday)3 doses of Hepatitis B2 doses of Varicella (1st dose must be on or after 1st birthday) or a written statement from physician indicating month and year of disease or serologic proof of immunity.
Online Registration Portal
You will register your child for Kindergarten through the PowerSchool Enrollment Portal. The link to the 2026-2027 school year enrollment form is available by clicking here.
If you have never enrolled a student through the PowerSchool enrollment portal, you will need to create an enrollment portal account. Please note, an enrollment portal account is different from an existing PowerSchool Parent Portal account.
Complete and submit the “New Student Registration” for the 2026-2027 school year. If you have more than one child enrolling in Kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year, you will need to complete a registration form for each child.
The online registration process provides South Park Elementary Center with much of the information about your child and family that it needs to properly enroll your child.
Families without internet access may come to the South Park Elementary Center office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. beginning on Monday, January 26, 2026 to use a computer.
Scheduling Kindergarten Screening Appointment
Once you submit your child’s completed registration, you will be directed to schedule your child’s Kindergarten Screening appointment as part of our Camp Kindergarten Day on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at South Park Elementary Center. Incoming Kindergarten students and their parents/guardians are asked to attend this very important day in the registration process.
The Kindergarten screening assessment is a simple, 10-15 minute assessment to check basic Kindergarten readiness. Skills such as letter and number identification, rhyming, counting, saying the alphabet, and shape identification may be some of the basic skills students may have before entering Kindergarten.
We ask parents/guardians to bring as many of the completed enrollment forms and documents that they can to their child's screening day appointment. While students take part in the assessment screening, a South Park Elementary Center or South Park School District staff member will be available to meet with you and review the completed forms and documents and answer any of the questions you may have. You will also be able to explore our Camp Kindergarten stations where you can learn more about programs at South Park Elementary Center, transportation, food services, and more once the screening is complete.
On the day of your child’s screening appointment, please arrive 5-10 minutes early. Additional procedures will be shared with families via email as we get closer to screening day.
