The Pennsylvania Department of Education has approved the South Park School District to allow all South Park students to receive free breakfast and lunch meals during school closures due to the COVID-19 spread.

Beginning on Thursday, April 2, any student in the district is entitled to one breakfast and one lunch per school day for free. This was previously only allowed for families who qualified for free and reduced-price meals. This program is available for any child 18 years of age or younger.

UPDATED ON MAY 21, 2020

With the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, we will make
a change to our meal distribution schedule for next week. Meals will be distributed at South Park High School on Tuesday, May 26 and Thursday, May 28 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

UPDATED ON MAY 8, 2020

As the meal distribution continues for all children 18 years and younger, we need to make another modification to the distribution process due to the increasing number of meals we are serving every week.

The meal distribution will continue to take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. However, beginning on Monday, May 11, we will move the distribution to South Park High School and make it a curbside pickup. This change will make it much easier for our food services staff. It also means that families no longer need to exit their vehicles. The curbside pickup location will be outside door 3 of South Park High School. The directions for families picking up meals are:

Picking Up Meals:

Turn right onto the South Park High School campus from Eagle Pride Lane.
After entering the SPHS campus, make the first left.

Follow this road to the side of the building closest to South Park Elementary Center. At the side of the building near the cafeteria, you’ll be greeted by a cafeteria employee who will take your order.

You’ll pull forward to receive your meal(s). You will not need to exit your vehicle at any point.

Exiting Curbside Pickup:

After picking up your meal(s), you’ll exit the curbside pickup location by turning right.
You will follow this road around the South Park High School building.

You’ll turn left onto Eagle Pride Lane to exit the South Park High School campus.

View a map of the distribution.

We want to extend our appreciation to our food services staff for their work to make this meal distribution program a success. We hope this new procedure makes it even more convenient for you to pick up meals for children 18 years and younger.
