The South Park Eagles took first place in the WPIAL's inaugural Financial Trivia Challenge sponsored by First National Bank.
South Park took the top spot out of 78 schools in the competition to earn the grand prize of $1,500! We also had two students place in the top 20 of 1,200 participants to win $100 each -- Jessica Shaffer in 7th place and Shaula Solema at 18.
It was a team effort with great work all the way around. In addition to our awesome students, we'd
like to thank Athletic Director Mr. Patrick Colligan for organizing the event, and teachers Mr. Hufnagel, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Sinicrope for encouraging their students in College & Career Prep class, as well as business and computer classes, to participate.
