Katie Jackovic added to her collection of gold medals as our South Park swimmers set new standards at the WPIAL swimming championships held March 2-3 at the University of Pittsburgh’s Trees Hall.

Katie, a junior, swam the 100-meter butterfly and came in first place with a time of 55.63 seconds to earn her third career WPIAL gold medal. It was a personal best record and also broke the varsity record she set earlier in the season. Katie also competed in the 100 free and came in 3rd place. Again, she clocked a personal best and broke her own varsity record with a time of 51.33.
